Know where stock is, why it moved, and what needs action next.
AWRA warehouse management connects locations, item movements, transfers, counts, approvals, and scan workflows so teams can run daily warehouse work without losing control of the audit trail.
Location model
Turn physical storage into a reliable digital map.
Warehouses, rooms, zones, shelves, bins, and holding areas become operational records. Teams know where items belong, where stock is waiting, and which movements need approval or review.
Warehouse Structure
Represent branches, stores, zones, shelves, and bins with a consistent location model.
Item Placement
Tie stock to meaningful storage locations for faster search, counts, picking, and transfers.
Exception Areas
Use quarantine, damaged, returns, and staging locations without mixing them into normal stock.
Location Visibility
See low stock, movement activity, and branch-level availability without manual consolidation.
Location capacity
See which shelves are full before the next delivery finds out.
Give a location a capacity in stock units and AWRA shows it as a percentage full on the location list, flags anything over, and raises a Smart Alert listing the fullest locations first. It warns. It never refuses a receipt — the lorry is already at the door, and a stock record that says the goods are somewhere else is worse than a full shelf.
Industrial Area store · locations
on hand / capacityThe white line is 100 per cent. The returns cage holds 128 units against a capacity of 80 — 160 per cent full, and flagged.
What happens on a receipt into a full location
- The receipt posts, into the location it was received into. Stock is recorded where it physically is.
- The location list shows the new percentage and the over-capacity flag.
- The Smart Alert in the Ops Center picks the location up, with on-hand against capacity.
- Editing the location while it is over says so, with the units it holds against its capacity.
What AWRA OpsHub does today
- A capacity on each location, counted in stock units, saved from the create and edit screens and from the API.
- Percentage full and an over-capacity flag on the location list, from on-hand against capacity.
- A Locations over capacity Smart Alert in the Ops Center, fullest first, which can be given an owner, acknowledged, and resolves itself once the location is back under.
- A warning on edit when a location is left over its capacity.
- Receipts that proceed into a full location, so the stock record stays true to the shelf.
- A location that must belong to the warehouse it is used with, checked on the server for every form, the API and the mobile queue.
- Stock reservations per warehouse for confirmed sales orders, enforced on every outbound path.
More we can add to your workspace
- A capacity warning on the receiving screen itself, at the moment a receipt is about to tip a location over.
- Weight, volume or dimensions on an item, so capacity can be expressed in something other than stock units.
- A utilisation trend over time, showing which locations are filling and how fast.
- Directed putaway — a capacity-aware suggestion of where an incoming line should go.
Where we point you to a specialist
- We recommend against a hard block on a full location, and that is a position we hold. A control that is satisfied by receiving into the wrong bin on paper produces a stock record that is wrong on purpose, and we built the warning instead.
Capacity is stored, measured and alerted on already, so the receiving-screen warning and the trend are small additions to data that exists. Tell us how your stores measure full.
Movement workflow
Receiving, transfers, counts, and adjustments in one operational chain.
Warehouse work is not one screen. It is a chain of actions that must remain fast for staff and trustworthy for managers.
Receive Stock
Capture incoming items from procurement, returns, or opening stock into the correct warehouse location.
Transfer Stock
Move stock between warehouses, shelves, and operational areas with status and approval context.
Count And Adjust
Record physical counts, investigate variance, and preserve reason codes for adjustment history.
Resolve Exceptions
Flag damaged, missing, returned, and incorrectly placed stock so exceptions do not disappear into normal inventory.
Keep The History
Every meaningful stock action feeds a movement trail for review, reconciliation, and accountability.
Scan-enabled operations
Make the warehouse floor faster without making it loose.
Warehouse teams can scan item labels, asset labels, and location context from mobile workflows while managers keep permission, approval, and policy controls intact.
Smart Recommendations
Warehouse teams usually tighten these controls next.
Fast warehouse work needs a control halo around it: transfers, replenishment suggestions, counts, and scan tools keep floor speed tied to reliable stock.
Stock Transfers & Approvals
Move stock between warehouses, shelves, and operating areas with origin, destination, status, approval context, and audit history intact.
Open recommendationInventory Balancing
Turn warehouse quantities and branch demand into replenishment suggestions before teams create avoidable purchase requests.
Open recommendationInventory Counts
Run cycle counts, physical stock-takes, variance review, and correction evidence against the same warehouse and location model.
Open recommendationRecommended warehouse path
From floor scan to trustworthy stock position.

Warehouse governance
Fast enough for the floor, controlled enough for finance.
Warehouse controls should help people move quickly while preserving the evidence needed for procurement, sales, accounting, and leadership decisions.
Approval Rules
Sensitive transfers and adjustments can require review before the stock record is finalized.
Reason Codes
Variance, damage, returns, and corrections carry business context instead of vague notes.
Role Boundaries
Floor users, supervisors, and managers can operate with different access levels.
Cross-Module Signals
Procurement receipts, sales demand, transfers, and reports all benefit from cleaner stock history.
Common questions
Warehouse workflows without the guesswork.
Can we use barcode scanners?
Yes. AWRA supports scan-oriented workflows through mobile and compatible barcode input patterns.
Can stock move between warehouses?
Yes. Transfers can carry origin, destination, status, approval context, and stock movement history.
How do we handle damaged stock?
Use controlled locations and reason-coded adjustments so damaged or quarantined stock stays visible.
Can a location have a capacity?
Yes, in stock units. The location list shows each one as a percentage full, and a Smart Alert lists any location over its capacity. A receipt into a full location still posts — the alert is a warning, never a block.
Can stock be held back for an order?
Yes. A confirmed sales order reserves its stock at the order’s warehouse, and nothing else can sell, transfer or issue it. See stock reservations and backorders.
Does this connect to procurement and sales?
Yes. Warehouse records support procurement receiving, sales stock visibility, reporting, and accounting controls.
