From clock-in to payroll-ready — one clean line.

Capture every workday the way that fits your team — a manager's grid, self clock-in, a biometric/CSV import, or an approved correction — then let shifts, overtime and monthly timesheets roll it up into a period you approve and lock for payroll. Leave and public holidays are baked in, not bolted on.

Four ways to capture a day — one clean record.

No two workforces clock in the same way. Every path writes to the same single record per person per day, so however a day is captured, the totals stay consistent.

Manager grid

Mark the whole team for a day in one screen — status, clock-in and clock-out.

Self clock-in

Employees with a login clock themselves in and out from "My Attendance".

CSV / biometric import

Bring in punches from a device or spreadsheet — de-duplicated onto the same day.

Corrections

Staff request a fix for a missed punch; an approver merges it into the record.

Statuses: present · late · half-day · absent · on-leave · holiday · off. One row per employee per day, whichever path wrote it.

What's shipped

Everything from the shift to the signed-off period.

Shifts & expected hours

Define shifts (start, end, break) and their expected hours; assign each person a default shift that the rest of the module builds on.

Weekly roster

A per-day roster grid with overrides on top of each employee's default shift, plus a one-click "copy last week."

Overtime, auto-detected

Compare hours worked against the shift's expected hours to raise overtime automatically — or log it by hand — then approve or reject.

Timesheets that roll up

A monthly per-employee summary of worked days, absences, leave, hours, overtime and expected — computed live from the records.

Approve & lock for payroll

Approve a period, then lock it so it can't change — a locked month is a clean, auditable hand-off to payroll (reopen if needed).

Corrections workflow

Employees request fixes to past days with a reason; approval writes the corrected values straight onto the record.

Attendance dashboard

Monthly attendance rate, absenteeism and lateness trends, and who's most absent or late — at a glance.

Team availability

See who's available across the team once leave and attendance are in — useful for scheduling and assignment.

Leave & holiday aware

Approved leave and regional public holidays pre-fill the day's status, so the register reflects reality without double entry.

The moat

A period you can actually close.

Shift sets the baseline, the register captures the days, overtime tops it up, and the timesheet rolls it into a month you review, approve and lock — a clean line from a single clock-in to a payroll-ready period.

Lock

Period closed, payroll-ready

Locking is the honest hand-off: a locked month can't be quietly edited, so what Payroll consumes is exactly what was signed off — every run calculates only from a period that's been approved and locked.

Not a silo

Wired into the rest of your HR.

Leave feeds attendance

Approved leave shows up on the register automatically, so a day off is never double-counted as absent.

Regional holidays

Your per-region public-holiday calendar pre-marks the day for everyone it applies to.

Granular permissions

Distinct rights to view, mark, clock, record overtime, approve corrections, manage shifts and lock timesheets.

One employee record

Attendance, leave, contracts and documents all live on the same employee profile.

Audited throughout

Every mark, correction, overtime decision and period lock is captured with who and when.

Feeds Payroll directly

Locked timesheets are exactly what Payroll turns into pay — days, hours and approved overtime, with no re-entry.

Questions

The practical details.

Do we have to use biometric devices?

No. You can mark attendance on a manager grid, let staff self clock-in, or import punches from a device or CSV — mix and match. Every path lands on the same daily record.

How is overtime worked out?

Hours worked are compared against the employee's shift expected hours; anything over is raised as overtime for approval. You can also log overtime manually. Only approved overtime rolls into the timesheet.

What does "locking" a timesheet do?

Approving marks a period reviewed; locking freezes it so it can't be edited — a clean, auditable hand-off. You can reopen a locked period if something needs to change.

Does leave affect attendance automatically?

Yes. Approved leave and your public holidays pre-fill the day's status on the register, so time off is never mistaken for an absence.

Can someone fix a missed clock-out?

Yes — they file a correction for that day with a reason, and an approver merges the corrected time/status onto the record.

Where does this sit in the HR roadmap?

Attendance & Time is live, alongside Employee Management, Leave and Payroll. It produces the locked timesheets that Payroll consumes directly.
