Employee registry

Names, contact details and statutory identifiers — national ID, tax ID, and social-security & health numbers — plus employment type, hire and end dates. Employee numbers auto-generate when left blank.

Positions & grades

A managed catalogue of job titles with grades that feeds the employee form, so roles stay consistent across the organization.

Org hierarchy & chart

A self-referencing reporting line renders a live org chart from your data, with a depth-guarded tree you can navigate from any profile.

Employment lifecycle

Move people through applicant → probation → active → suspended → terminated. Termination captures an end date; every transition is audited.

Employee Management treats a person as a first-class record with an optional, one-to-one link to a platform user. You keep a full HR profile for everyone, and grant a login only to those who need one — provisioned in a click, revocable without deleting the person.

The practical details.

Do I have to enter an employee number?

No. Leave it blank and AWRA assigns the next sequential number automatically (e.g. EMP-2026-000001). Supply your own and it is kept, as long as it is unique within your organization.

Can an employee exist without a login?

Yes — that is the default. Provision a platform login only when someone needs to sign in; it links one-to-one to the employee and never affects their HR status.

How do documents stay secure?

Attachments live in the shared Document Vault on private storage, are checksum-verified and access-logged, and preview inside the app through a secure viewer rather than a public link.

What happens to assets when someone leaves?

If the employee is linked to an asset custodian, their held assets show on the profile, so you can reassign or reclaim them before archiving the record.

Is bulk import safe to run on production data?

Yes. The preview validates every row first, and the commit is transactional — a single invalid row stops the whole import rather than leaving a partial mess.
