Why we built AWRA
AWRA was not designed in the abstract. It started from what we watched happen inside organizations in Nairobi, and every module since has had to answer the same question: does this make the work easier to see, control and prove?

The problem we saw
Operations held together by notebooks and messages
Across schools, NGOs and growing businesses in Kenya we kept meeting the same picture: stock counted in notebooks, purchases approved in chat messages, assets moving with nobody signing for them, and finance rebuilding the month in spreadsheets after the money had already gone.

Why existing systems fell short
Too big, too narrow, or built for somewhere else
The large ERPs needed a consultant and a budget most of these organizations do not have. The affordable tools each covered one corner — inventory here, accounting there — so the approvals, the audit trail and the reconciliation still lived in the gaps between them. And few were built for patchy connectivity, mobile money or a donor asking for evidence.

Why we built AWRA
One record from the request to the ledger
AWRA started as inventory and procurement clarity for an institution losing stock it could not account for. The product grew because each record needed the workflow around it: transfers needed approvals, approvals needed an audit history, purchases needed the vendor, and finance needed the whole chain to agree.

Sustainability & Impact
Efficient resource management is an environmental responsibility. In food, medicines and other perishables, inaccurate stock records lead directly to waste. Accurate counts, expiry tracking and reorder alerts help organizations order what they need and use what they hold.
AWRA is also a working tool for NGOs and humanitarian programmes. When donated goods and equipment are tracked from receipt to the person who signed for them, more of the aid reaches the people it was meant for, and the evidence is there when a funder asks.
And moving paper-heavy approvals, delivery notes and handovers into a digital record reduces an organization's own footprint while making its operations easier to audit.

AWRA runs in any modern web browser, with nothing to install. The Android app on Google Play covers warehouse and field work, keeps working without signal and syncs when the connection returns.
