A phone hands you a location instantly and it is usually the worst one it will have all minute. Waiting eight seconds for a better one is the difference between a movement that lands and one your own policy refuses.

The API accepts six photos on an asset movement. The phone stops at four, compresses every one, and shows you the running total in kilobytes. All three of those are the same decision about a queue row.

The asset panel shows a health score and a confidence figure beside it. Both are arithmetic you can check by hand — five deductions with named caps, a proportional term, and a floor at twenty rather than nought.

Asset movement approvals are governed by which actions the policy covers and which assets it applies to, and both have to agree. Set one and leave the other and the control reads as on while gating nothing at all.

An asset is tracked as one identified record or as a quantity in buckets, and the choice is free until the first unit moves. The bucket turns out to be a six-part key, which is why a pool of four hundred can become eleven rows nobody asked for.

The asset register draws a downward value line using one flat rate on every asset, so a building and a laptop both reach zero in five years. It says so on the chart — and that caption is the reason the figure is safe to publish at all.

An asset's purchase cost is stamped with your workspace's own currency by the system, not chosen by the person registering it, and stamped again on every edit. That is what lets the register total itself — and it is why an imported machine needs translating before anybody types.

A US forklift certification has no expiry date. Five things oblige you to retrain the operator and four of them are events, not dates — which is a problem for every mechanism built to watch a calendar.

British lifting-equipment rules give you a six or twelve month floor, two events that bring the date forward, and a next-due date a named person writes into a signed report. A recurring reminder is none of those three.

An asset label has two readers. One is a person who will complain when it looks wrong, and one is a camera that will simply fail. We shipped a barcode that was invisible in dark mode and perfect in every screenshot — which is exactly the failure a machine reader produces.

There is a working document-expiry reminder in this product. It reads a date, respects your notification settings and warns you thirty days out. It is filtered to employees — so a work permit gets a warning and an equipment insurance certificate gets silence.

Nobody adopts an asset register with no assets. The interesting part of a migration is never the file format — it is the four columns you have that the destination has nowhere to put, and deciding in advance which of them you are prepared to lose.
