Troubleshooting

Preferred suppliers, restricted items and emergency purchases

Procurement requests & approvals

Answer Summary

Yes. Under Procurement Defaults a workspace chooses whether buying away from an item's preferred supplier is allowed, flagged or refused unless someone with the override permission writes a reason. Items can be marked restricted so that buying them needs its own approval permission, which then carries from the requisition to its RFQ and quotes. An emergency purchase with a reason, and an optional value limit, gets past a budget or preferred-supplier block but never a restricted item or the approval rules. Every exception is listed for review by someone other than the person who made it. All of it is off until switched on.
