Read storage and usage

Storage, Usage Limits and Add-ons focuses on reading the Storage and Usage & limits pages, knowing which caps reset and which do not, and buying storage, AI packs, warehouses and POS counters as add-ons. In AWRA, plans configuration and subscription billing controls regulate tenant feature access levels, billing cadences, and payment compliance.

The primary objective is transactional stability and feature lock enforcement. Admins must verify plans properties and limits rules before saving configurations.

In practice, an administrator on Basic sees the single warehouse is in use, adds one extra warehouse on the Customize screen, and confirms the new limit on Usage & limits.

Capacity path

1

Read

Open Settings, Usage & limits for every cap, and Storage for what is using the space.

2

Classify

Daily caps reset at midnight UTC, monthly ones on the 1st; counts such as warehouses only drop when records are removed.

3

Add

On the Customize screen, add storage by the GB, AI packs of 500 requests, extra warehouses or extra POS counters.

4

Confirm

After payment the limit rises at once and renews with the plan; a reduction waits for the renewal.

Billing model

  • Tenant plans define strict feature groups and limits.
  • Subscription conversions require clear upgrade paths.
  • Failed invoice collections trigger automatic dunning cycles.
  • Always audit overrides permissions to prevent revenue leakage.

Know how each cap behaves

The operating routine is to review storage and usage before month end, act on caps above 85 percent, and choose between an add-on and an upgrade. That sequence prevents data misalignment and ensures billing records comply with accounting guidelines.

Before finalizing actions, check storage used against the allowance, AI requests this month, emails and exports today, warehouses and POS counters in use, and add-on units held. These safety reviews protect billing tokens, invoice details, and client credit records.

An administrator can verify plans states, adjust billing defaults, or process custom overrides directly from the billing dashboard.

Capacity decisions

Signal Check Action
Storage near the allowance Open Storage to see which module holds the space Remove old files or add storage by the GB
AI requests run out mid-month Check AI requests on Usage & limits Add an AI pack of 500 requests or wait for the 1st
A second warehouse on Basic is refused Basic includes one warehouse Add an extra warehouse, or move to Pro for three
Many add-ons held Compare the add-on total with the next plan up Upgrade when the next plan costs less than the add-ons it replaces

Billing decisions

  • Verify tenant tier assignments before modifying entitlements.
  • Track payment recovery status using Paystack webhook logs.
  • Enforce plan change approvals for custom enterprise quotes.
  • Manage support overrides using verified security codes.

Add capacity without changing plan

Billing updates and plans adjustments should leave proof. Useful evidence includes Usage & limits figures, the Storage breakdown, add-on transactions and renewal charges, which is required for financial audits and compliance checks.

Management should review billing performance: dunning success rates, churn rates, and override frequencies indicate pricing or layout optimization needs.

In practice, closure means every cap near its limit has an owner decision, add-ons bought show in the limits, and renewals bill the units held.

Capacity checklist

Usage & limits reviewed
Storage breakdown checked
Daily and monthly caps understood
Add-on or upgrade decided
New limit confirmed after payment

Oversight validation

  • Confirm that change logs record plans updates.
  • Verify that payment records match Paystack tokens.
  • Validate that custom overrides are authorized by owner.
  • Ensure billing invoice PDFs reconcile with ledgers.
