Year-End Closenoun

Finalising a full financial year ready for audit and statutory filing.

Year-end close repeats the month-end process with additions: full inventory verification, fixed asset and provision reviews, revaluation of foreign-currency balances, and the roll-forward that resets income and expense accounts.

It ends with figures an auditor will test and a tax return will rest on, so the working papers matter as much as the numbers. A clean year end is mostly the product of twelve clean months.
