Yard Managementnoun

Controlling vehicles, trailers and containers in the space around the warehouse.

Yard management tracks what is parked where — which trailer holds which load, which is empty, which is waiting for a door — and sequences the moves between the gate, parking positions and the dock.

An unmanaged yard hides inventory in plain sight. Stock sitting in a trailer nobody has logged is unavailable to sell and invisible to every count.
