Packing Slipnoun

A document listing the contents of a shipment.

A packing slip travels with the goods and itemises what is inside each carton or pallet, with quantities and often weights, but no prices. The receiver checks against it before signing.

Keeping prices off it is deliberate — the packing slip may be seen by carriers and warehouse staff at the destination, while the commercial terms belong on the invoice.
