Mobile scanning moves data entry to where the goods are. Staff scan the location, the item and sometimes the batch, and the transaction is recorded as it physically happens rather than typed up later.
Offline tolerance is what makes it usable in real buildings, where cold stores, yards and back aisles have no signal. Transactions queue on the device and sync when connectivity returns.
