Delegation of Authority

The documented limits within which each role may commit the organisation.

A delegation of authority matrix states who can approve what, up to which value, for which categories. It is the rulebook approval workflows are configured from.

Clear limits speed work up rather than slowing it down: small purchases stop climbing to the top of the organisation, and large ones cannot be quietly split into several small ones.
