Blanket Purchase Ordernoun

A single PO covering multiple deliveries over a period at agreed terms.

A blanket PO commits to buying goods or services over time — often a year — against pre-agreed prices, with stock called off in scheduled releases rather than ordered each time.

It reduces paperwork and locks in pricing for recurring purchases, while still tracking each release against the overall commitment.
