Par Level

A par level is the target stock a shelf, ward, kitchen or service van should be topped up to on a fixed schedule. Rather than calculating an order, staff simply count what is there and refill to par.

Par-based replenishment is common in hospitality, healthcare and field service because it is fast and needs no arithmetic at the point of use. Reviewing par levels periodically keeps them aligned with real consumption.
