Sanctions Screening

Checking counterparties against restricted-party and sanctions lists.

Sanctions screening compares supplier, customer and related-party names against published restricted lists before onboarding and periodically thereafter. A match must be investigated before trading proceeds.

Screening once at onboarding is not enough, because lists change and ownership changes. Periodic rescreening of the active vendor base is what catches a supplier who became restricted after approval.
