NSSF is a compulsory retirement savings contribution in Kenya, calculated on pensionable pay in tiers and matched by the employer. Both halves are remitted together each month.

Because contribution tiers and upper limits have been revised in recent years, payroll parameters need reviewing whenever the schedule changes rather than being left as configured.
