Automation Insights
How your workflows are actually running — the week's success rate, which workflows keep failing, runs that got stuck, exceptions nobody owns, and tasks a workflow handed to a person that are now late — with the one thing to fix first.
Automation Insights sits under Automation → Overview → Automation Insights, and every workflow screen carries its summary in the insights bar at the foot of the page. It reads your workflows, their runs, exceptions and workflow tasks. It needs the same access as the Automation Overview — if you can see workflows, you can see this.
What It Shows
- Success rate, 7 days — successful runs out of every run started in the last seven days.
- Runs — this week and today.
- Failing workflows — a workflow whose latest run this week failed or got stuck, or that failed at least a quarter of four or more runs.
- Stuck runs — runs still marked running more than 30 minutes after they started.
- Open exceptions — open, snoozed or escalated, with how many are critical and how many have no owner.
- Workflow tasks — open, and how many are past their due time.
- Average time to resolve — from an exception being raised to it being resolved, over the last 30 days.
Each figure uses the same definition as the Automation Overview and the screen it links to, so the two never disagree. The page also lists the most recent failed or stuck runs and the oldest open exceptions.
What To Fix First
The recommendation follows a fixed order, because some problems repeat themselves and others only wait:
- A failing workflow fails again on every event that triggers it, so it comes first.
- Critical exceptions.
- Stuck runs — retry or cancel them from the run logs.
- Exceptions with no owner — an unowned exception is one nobody is resolving.
- Overdue workflow tasks — the workflow behind each one is waiting on a person.
Score, Confidence And The Summary
The score is a 0–100 health rating built from the figures above. Confidence reflects how much there is to read — a workspace with two runs this week gets a low confidence however good its score looks. The written summary is generated from these figures only, and counts against your plan's AI requests like every other insights summary.
Turning It Off
An administrator can switch Automation insights off for the whole organization under Settings → AI modules. The page, the insights bar, the overview card and the mobile app's card all go with it; the workflows themselves keep running. See Workflow Builder for building them, and Smart Alerts & Radar for the other insights pages.
