Asset Movements

This Assets guide helps users track asset records, labels, custodians, movements, assignments, audits, and reports.

Use this page when you need practical help with Asset Movements. It keeps the older help topic useful while linking it into the newer public help structure, so users can understand the purpose, complete the workflow, check permissions, avoid common mistakes, and know when to ask for help.

Who Uses This Page

  • Asset admins, custodians, warehouse teams, IT teams, and finance reviewers.
  • Managers reviewing accountability.
  • Auditors checking assignment evidence.

Before You Start

  • Confirm you are signed into the correct AWRA workspace.
  • Confirm your role includes the menu, record, report, or action you need.
  • Have the relevant record number, branch, warehouse, customer, vendor, item, payment, or workflow reference ready.
  • Check whether the record status allows the action you want to take.

Recommended Workflow

  1. Open Assets and find the asset by tag, serial number, custodian, or location.
  2. Confirm status, condition, assignment, and label.
  3. Record assignment, movement, return, audit, or maintenance action.
  4. Attach evidence where required.
  5. Review reports or history after saving.

Permissions Note

If you cannot see Asset Movements, the issue is usually role access, branch or warehouse assignment, module availability, report permission, or record status. Ask your organization admin to review the exact task you need instead of requesting broad access.

Common Mistakes

  • Skipping search and creating duplicate records.
  • Using the wrong branch, warehouse, date range, status, customer, vendor, item, or payment filter.
  • Saving changes before checking required fields and attachments.
  • Assuming a missing button is broken before checking role, status, and assignment.
