Multi-Warehouse Transfers
For organizations operating across multiple buildings or cities, the Transfers module manages the secure movement of stock through an in-transit custody workflow.
The Three-Step Transfer
- Request/Initiate: The source warehouse creates the transfer record and selects the "In-Transit" items. Quantity is deducted from "Available Stock" at source but added to "Pending" at destination.
- Shipment: The items are physically moved. The system tracks the "Reference Number" (e.g., Waybill).
- Receipt Verification: The destination warehouse counts the items. If they match, the "Pending" stock is converted to "Available".
Conflict Handling: If the destination reports fewer items than sent, the transfer is flagged for "Discrepancy Audit".
