Permissions Guide

Learn why menus, buttons, records, reports, warehouses, and approvals may appear for one user but not another.

AWRA shows each person the tools that match their assigned role, branch, warehouse, workflow responsibility, and enabled modules. This keeps daily work focused and protects sensitive business information such as payments, account settings, vendor pricing, customer records, approvals, and financial reports.

If a page, button, export, approval step, warehouse, branch, vendor, customer, report, or payment action is missing, it does not always mean the page is broken. It may mean your account has not been granted that activity, the record is locked by its current status, or the item belongs to a branch or warehouse outside your assigned scope.

How To Request Access

  1. Write down the exact task you need to complete, such as approve a purchase request, receive a PO, export a stock report, or close a POS shift.
  2. Capture the page name, record number, branch, warehouse, vendor, customer, or report involved.
  3. Ask your manager or organization admin to confirm whether your role should include that task.
  4. After access changes, sign out and sign back in if the menu does not refresh.
  5. Never use another person's account to complete work. Ask an authorized user to act or approve while access is reviewed.

Before You Report A Missing Button

  • Confirm you are in the correct organization, branch, warehouse, or module.
  • Check whether the record status allows the action.
  • Confirm the same action is not available from a different tab, menu, or workflow step.
  • Ask whether the action requires approval, manager access, finance access, or admin access.
  • Take a screenshot if your organization's policy allows screenshots.

Common Permission Mistakes

  • Requesting broad admin access when a narrower task permission would solve the issue.
  • Assuming every user should see every branch, warehouse, report, or vendor.
  • Trying to edit posted, approved, cancelled, closed, or synced records without following the correction process.
  • Using another user's login to bypass a missing permission.
Best access request format: "I need to [task] in [module] for [record/page] at [branch/warehouse]. My current role is [role], and I cannot see [menu/button/report]."
