Mobile Apps & Linked Scanner Hardware Guide

Use Mobile Apps to understand app modules, offline behavior, scanner flows, push notifications, authentication, sync assumptions, and troubleshooting.

Mobile and scanner workflows help teams work closer to the warehouse floor, counter, vehicle, field site, or asset location. Mobile users should understand which actions require connection, which actions can wait offline, and how to confirm sync status before repeating work.

Common Mobile Uses

  • Inventory lookup, receiving, check-out, transfer, count, and adjustment evidence.
  • Scanner-assisted item, asset, bin, or transfer identification.
  • Workflow tasks, approvals, notifications, and exception updates.
  • Asset assignment, label scanning, custodian confirmation, and audit checks.
  • Field updates where desktop access is not practical.

Scanner Flow

  1. Sign in with your own account and confirm the organization workspace.
  2. Confirm branch, warehouse, location, or task context.
  3. Scan the barcode, QR code, asset label, bin label, or document reference.
  4. Confirm the item, asset, quantity, or task result displayed by AWRA.
  5. Add notes or attachments if anything is damaged, missing, substituted, or unclear.
  6. Confirm whether the action is synced, pending, or failed.

Offline Behavior

  • Know which pages your organization allows offline before starting field work.
  • Do not assume every action can be completed offline.
  • If the app shows pending sync, wait for confirmation before repeating the same transaction.
  • Keep device battery, network, app version, and scanner pairing ready before warehouse work.
  • After reconnecting, check sync status and movement history.

Push Notifications And Auth

Mobile notifications may alert users about approvals, tasks, exceptions, stock issues, transfers, RFQs, or support updates. If notifications are missing, check user profile, device permissions, app sign-in, organization settings, and whether the workflow sends mobile alerts.

Authentication should use the user's own account. Do not share device logins, passwords, or MFA codes. If a device is shared, sign out when the shift or task is complete.

Common Mobile Issues

  • Scanner is not paired, battery is low, or camera permission is blocked.
  • Offline transaction is pending and user repeats it.
  • User is signed into the wrong organization, branch, warehouse, or account.
  • Barcode label is damaged, duplicated, or assigned to the wrong item.
  • Push notifications are disabled at device or profile level.
Support tip: Include device model, app version, user, warehouse, barcode, timestamp, sync status, and screenshot if allowed.
