Finding Things Fast

The command palette, quick actions, pinned menu items and saved filters — four small features that remove most of the clicking from a working day.

AWRA is a wide product. These are the shortcuts that make it feel narrow, and every one of them respects your permissions: if you cannot open a page, it does not appear in your palette, your quick menu, or your pins.

The Command Palette

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in the dashboard and start typing. The palette is an index of the product organised the same way the sidebar is, so it reads as a map rather than a pile of links. Most entries are places to go; a few are actions that open straight into a dialog.

Quick Actions

The Quick menu in the topbar holds things to do rather than places to go — raise a request, record a payment, add an item. The same actions appear on module hub bars and at the foot of the dashboard, so the fastest route to a common task is never more than one click from wherever you are.

Pinned Menu Items

Pin the pages you live in and they appear in a Pinned block at the top of the sidebar, above the modules. Pins are per person: yours do not change anyone else's navigation. If you open the same three screens every morning, pin them and stop hunting.

Saved Filters

Most list and report screens let you save the filter combination you just built — a date range, a status, a cashier, a warehouse — and recall it by name later. This is the fix for the report you rebuild every Monday. Saved filters are tied to the screen they were saved on and respect that screen's own permission, so a saved filter can never be a route into data you would otherwise be refused.

Searching Within A Module

Module lists have their own search across the fields that matter for that record — an item by name, SKU or barcode; a customer by company, name, email or phone; a vendor by company or contact. When you know the reference number, that is usually faster than any menu.
