Building Your Catalog: Adding Items

The quality of your organizational intelligence starts with the accuracy of your item data. AWRA provides a rich interface for defining your physical assets.

Core Item Identity

Every item needs a clear identifier. If your organization does not already use SKU or part numbers, AWRA can help you create consistent item codes. Essential fields include:

• Item Name & Description: Use clear, searchable nomenclature.
• SKU/Part Number: The primary key for all warehouse movements.
• Unit of Measure: Defines how you count (e.g., Units, Liters, Boxes).

The Reorder Threshold

This is the most critical field for automation. When your stock hits this number, the system triggers a "Low Stock" alert and notifies the relevant procurement officer. Tip: Set this slightly above your lead-time consumption to account for vendor delays.
