Executive Dashboard
The handful of figures an owner or a board reads first, for a period set beside the one before it, each one linked to the screen it came from. Download it as PDF or CSV, or have it emailed on a schedule.
Open Executive dashboard at /accounting/executive-dashboard, from the accounting quick actions or the command palette. Choose From and To, or a Rolling period — month to date, last month, quarter to date, last quarter or year to date — and press Apply Filters. Every figure is compared with the period of the same length just before it.
What It Shows
- Revenue, gross profit with its margin, and net profit — from the income statement for the same dates.
- Cash & bank, receivables and payables at the end of the period, from the ledger control accounts, with receivables and payables split by age.
- Procurement exposure — open purchase orders with nothing received or billed yet, as at today.
- Inventory value — owned stock at moving-average cost at the end of the period.
- A monthly trend of revenue, gross profit and gross margin.
- Risk — ledger integrity checks that are failing, overdue month-end close steps, and GL budget lines past their alert threshold.
Each figure is read from the service its own screen uses, so a tile and the page it links to cannot disagree. Figures are in your base currency; amounts in another currency are listed beside a figure, never added into it.
Download Or Schedule It
- Press Download PDF or CSV for the period on screen.
- To send it regularly, pick a Rolling period, save the view, and schedule it like any other report. A rolling period moves with the calendar, so each delivery covers the latest month or quarter.
- For the signed-off statements themselves, schedule the board pack from Certified Statements. The dashboard reads the live ledger; the board pack sends only what was certified.
Permissions
- View accounting — open the dashboard and download it. Each tile links on only where you can open the screen behind it.
The dashboard is also in the AWRA mobile app, read-only, and available through the API.
Common Mistakes
- Reading gross margin with unclassified accounts. The page warns when an account with a balance in the period has no classification; classify it in the chart of accounts and the figure settles.
- Scheduling fixed dates. A saved view with From and To sends the same period every time. Use a rolling period for a recurring pack.
