Workflow Approvals And Tasks

Workflow approvals help teams route work to the right person at the right time. A workflow may create a task, send a notification, request approval, escalate an overdue item, or mark an exception for review.

  • Approver: Reviews and approves or rejects a request, transaction, adjustment, or exception.
  • Task assignee: Completes a required follow-up such as attaching a document, checking stock, calling a vendor, or correcting a record.
  • Watcher: Receives visibility without necessarily taking action.
  • Escalation contact: Steps in when a task or approval exceeds the expected response time.
